The roundabout at the junction of Aleja Jana Pawła II (formerly Marchlewskiego), Świętokrzyska and Prosta streets was laid out after the war among new housing blocks and office towers. Since the 2000s it has become a cluster of high-rises, including Rondo 1 (2006) and Q22 (2016), and the Rondo ONZ station of metro line 2 opened beneath it in 2015.
